That's all for now. If anyone wants any specific details, PM me, or leave a comment. Otherwise, what has been done here, is complete. My invitation is open to anyone, as long as you aren't rude. These are some entries from a journal I kept until last year. My vampiric birthday is April 26, 2004. I was close to death when i was turned. 3/1/04I'm an insomniac with weird dreams. When I saw Ashley’s blood today, I think I wanted to taste it. 4/22/04 I feel like I'm dying. I feel like if I sleep I’ll never wake up. I'm scared. Nothing can help. 3/20/05(on vampires) I made the biggest mistake of my life last Friday. Heather was tickling me and I told her if she didn’t stop I was going to bite her. She didn’t so I did. Three days later it is a nasty green bruise and she starts to change…into a vampire. I call Victor and tell him. We figure out all the details. Now, starting Saturday and Friday night, her nose is bleeding and she’s throwing up blood. She’s rejecting the virus. It’s all my fault. I have to call Victor again tomorrow night; to give him an update and make sure it’s all okay with her. My worst fear is that something bad happens to Heather because of me. My worst fear… Understand I was only almost two when I bit her, and it was after I was confused by the believer into abstaining. Anyways, that's all.

Vampires have been around as long, or maybe even longer than humans. According to vampiric legend, vampires and werewolves were descendent from the wolves of northern europe, russia and eurasia. When they started to evolve humanly, two strains were formed. on one, the new species would become wolf again four the four days surrounding the full moon every month, exactly wolf-like, with the exception of their wolfish nature, which somehow dissappeared. Those were the first wrewolves. The first vampires, or the second species, were completely human in appearance, but possessed the nature of the wolves that the weres lacked. They communitcated without words, or few. They hunted in packs. an alfa-wolf type being was always apparent. They fought for their territory with other "packs", and like wolves did, ate their fallen enemies. Food is food. The meat was always raw, and for some reason, after awhile, the vampire's features began to adapt. Their teeth and nails were tougher, and offtimes sharper than the now apparent human poulation's. their eyes were dark and had reddish tints. They spent most of their time about at night only, and became pale in accord. Their skin was tougher and had a stretchy quality. The vampires strain had evolved to incorporate all the bearings of their lifestyle. Longer along, their minds developed further, and a kind of civilized manner became apparent in them. They settled down and stopped following their prey from one place to another, and began keeping cattle, and only going to war or battles with other packs when the thirst for human or vampire blood became too much. they plundered and ransacked their hapless victims. Their minds developed even further to where they could communicate entirely without words, know what another wanted or thought. Their senses increased to where they could track anything, throught the five senses, and offtimes their sixth sense. Around the time of the Roman empire, they stopped evolving. Some vampires began to reproduce out of their kind. The vampire strand wakened, to become almost extinct, except it lay dormant in some humans. But when these humand became of age, when they began to change into vampires the process would stop before it was complete, and the nearly turned vampire would die. As the vampire's numbers dwindled lower and lower, they searched for solutions to the problem. One day, it fell into their laps. A vampire named Samhain had a half human, half vampire daughter. When she began to change, it became apparent she would die. The girl asked her father to "eat of her flesh, and drink of her blood", so that her "soul may live on in another, and experience the life it has been denied." After much consternation, he took the first bite. Only, he stopped. He felt odd. The studied the mark silently, and after a minute she grabbed her chest. Afraid it was her death he asked her what was wrong. She said, "It feels as though a piece of metal is in my heart," five minutes later, she sat straight up on the table. Her eyes were red, her teeth noticeably stronger. She had become a vampire. Only his daughter wasn't his daughter anymore. Ther was another vampire inside her, who grabbed at her father's throat. Then, as if coming out of a trance, the girl's eyes turned back to brown and she hugged him. Half-vamps could become vampires, but at a price. Their bodies would share the soul of a deceased vampire. And so the final evolution of the vampires came. After awhile the vampires found that on full moons, they felt like whole, unlike how they felt normally. Then after about 200 years, the two souls would merge on their own after about thirty six full moons, and they would be more vampire than ever before. Some vampires are still born full, but it is rare. Something very similar happened to werewolves. They became wolf again at every full moon up until they began to interbreed with normal humans. Then the wolf form at full moon became more and more human looking, until one day, they didn't change at all. But they could still run like wolves, see like wolves, but they no longer looked like wolves. By some miracle they remained this way. They know eachother, like for like when they meet, and by mating, they preseve the little they have left. However, in the 1800's some colonies of werewolves that managed to maintain their origional traits by interbreeding, began to migrate to North America from various scandinavian countries. In that way, the werewolf traveled to the united states. They still keep mostly to themselves, but every now and then they accept the non-full humans in. So there are many types of werewolves out there, as well as many types of vampires. Now I know you are all wondering about half-breeds. Is it possible to have a thing like in Underworld. No. Here is the explanation. However uncommon, some werewolves and vampires would mate. When this happened, if they had a child, because in mixed couples miscarriages are common, when the child came of age and was bitten, the child would turn fully one or the other. But for chance, if they were bitten by a were, and turned into a vampire, or vice-versa, the child would go crazy. They would be normal up until the full moon.At that time they became the kind of insane killers that never remember what they've done, and don't know why they do it. Savaga and leading half-lives, they would die young. There are still these types today. Werewolves have brighter colored eyes most often. I.E. green blue, hazel, sometimes even yellow. Their teeth have a third set of canines, that sometimes pushes out over their existing teeth, but most often than not, if they loose their second set of canines a third just grows in, but each new set is bigger than the first. Now remember, not everyone with messed up teeth, or a taste for blood is supernatural. It is possible for the human mind to become warped from watching media stereotypes. And obsessions can actually make a person believe things. It's like mass hysteria. They start to read about a werewolf or vampire, and they think they see the signs of these things in themselves. But sadly, more often than naught, it is not the case, and they are just normal humans. Just know that if you are a supe, you will meet others. We find it almost irresistable to introduce newborns into our lifestyles. Just have patience and don't jump to conclusions. If it is meant to be, it will happen.

-Vampires respect life, contrary to popular belief. Those of us who are sanguine take only enough blood to survive. Those of us who are empaths, or psychic vampires don't seek to harm those we feed from, or take so much energy that the person is nearly wiped out. We believe that everything has a spirit, or possessses some energy that makes it what it is, and that it is possible to channel that energy into other uses. -A vegetarian vampire is a rarity, because it is not in our nature to discriminate in what or who we feed on. Everything is equal in life, from the lowliest vegetable to the most proud human. -Every action has a reaction. If you abuse your power, you will be abused. If you practice patience and control, others will treat you likewise. If you lead a good life, you will reach Nivea, or paradise, and one day you may be reincarnated. If you lead a bad life, you spend eternity in the whirwind lost and confused. -There is glory in a fair battle. To win a fight where the odds are in your favor is to have your pride stripped away. It must either be fair, or against you. -Armor is for cowards who do not accept the full responsibility of their actions. In every fightyou must be willing to face the fact that you may not survive, or do not fight at all. -To fight with a weapon that requires little or no skill is to be a traitor to yourself and your kind. -You should be dependant on nothing but yourself. The only person you can trust to do a thing for you is yourself. -Everyone is born with three destinies. On one, you lead an average life. On another, the choices you make will turn you evil and send you to the whirlwind. On the other, the choices you make will lead you to good and to Nivea. Every being is born with the potential to be great. It is just a matter of what choices they make. -Vampire Gods, Goddesses, myths, legends, etc are all closely related to teutonic and celtic mythologies, vampires having partly origionated in areas of those regions. The myths are set up in sagas, songs, in those ways. The myths are closely related because of the integration of vampires into other, human cultures. There are heroes like Samhain, and Laeriad(Warrior). There are Gods and Goddesses like Saeo the god of night, Dae the god of the sun, Saeotee the goddess of the night, beauty, and the moon, and Asaeloten the goddess of nature. -If you want to read about the warrior Laeriad, the closest you can come to those are the stories in the Lebor Gabala or the Book of Conquests, Which is a collection of the earliest Celtic Myths, or you can read the Edda, which is teutonic myths, and those also come very close. | | Posted by Artemis at 3:58 PM - | |

Much thanks to Aphera, my mentor in all things Vampire for this. The Celtic festival of Samhain is probably the source of the present-day Halloween celebration. The Celts lived more than 2,000 years ago in what is now the United Kingdom, Ireland, and northern France/Germany. Their new year began on November 1. A festival that began the previous evening honored Samhain, the Celtic lord of death. The celebration marked the beginning of the season of cold, darkness, and decay. It naturally became associated with human death. The Celts believed that Samhain allowed the souls of the dead to return to their earthly homes for this evening. On the evening of the festival, the Druids, who were the priests and teachers of the Celts, ordered the people to put out their hearth fires. The Druids built a huge new year's bonfire of oak branches, which they considered sacred. They burned animals, crops, and possibly even human beings as sacrifices. Then each family relit its hearth fire from the new year's fire. During the celebration, people sometimes wore costumes made of animal heads and skins. They told fortunes about the coming year by examining the remains of the animals that had been sacrificed. Wiccans also share traditions similar to the Celts on November 1, their Samhain sabbat. CONNECTIONS: The Celts got the tradition of the "Feast of Samhain" and the god Samhain from vampiric legend. The vampires used November 1, the day Samhain discovered how to save half-vampires, to honor him. It was called "the feast of Samhain" because he was supposed to have been requested by his daughter to feast upon her flesh to save her soul to live on in another, when he discovered the cure at first bite. Approximately 200 years after Samhain's death, vampiric legends and myths began to merge with the Celts. In the merge, Samhain became the Lord of Death, and the day we honor him and his discovery became the start of the New year for the Celts. Because the myths and legends of Celtic mythology became mixed from the vampires, the Celts had many odd practices. They sacrificed at first, only humans to Samhain. Then over time they also sacrificed animals and crops. The Celtic belief that Samhain allowed the souls of the dead back stems from the existance of a 2nd deceased vampire's soul in most vampires. Eventually, The origional legends of vampiric history were so distorted that it became Halloween. Halloween is a truly vampiric holiday.

Sorry to anyone frustratd by the typing error so obvious over the last week. I fixed it, those giant spaces, but when I wrote, I was in a hurry and I messed up the first time. But it is better now. I may be making a new vampire fledgling this week, if he still wants to be one after learning all the truth. I am doing it the right way this time and making sure he has al the knowledge before I change him. Yay for me! Well, I am still working on the history and beliefs of my kind, and it should be on by next weekend, or maybe tomorrow. Who knows? It should be pretty interesting. Luck to all who try and understand what is written here....Until Later, Alm perth saeo, alm perth kaim.
